Pairloom

Terms of Use

Last updated October 12, 2026

In short: Pairloom is a private space for you and your partner. Your photos stay yours. Only share what you have the right to share, be kind, and remember that whatever you add is seen by your partner.

Agreement

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to the Pairloom iPhone app and this website (together, “Pairloom”). By creating an account or using Pairloom, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Pairloom. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled.

Who can use Pairloom

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age to use online services without a parent’s consent where you live, if that’s higher. If you’re under 18, you need a parent or guardian’s permission to use Pairloom.

Your account

You sign in with Apple or Google. Keep access to that account secure: you’re responsible for what happens in Pairloom under your account. Please give accurate information and tell us if you think someone else is using your account.

Your content

Your photos, notes, whispers and everything else you add (“your content”) belong to you. To run Pairloom, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, copy, process and display your content only as needed to provide the service: for example, to save your cards, sync them to your phones and show them to your partner. This license ends when your content is deleted, except for copies in backups that are cleared in the normal course.

You’re responsible for your content. Make sure you have the right to share it, including the permission of anyone who appears in your photos.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Pairloom to:

  • share anything illegal, or anything that exploits or endangers children;
  • harass, threaten, stalk or intimidate anyone, including your partner;
  • share intimate or private images of anyone without their consent;
  • infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
  • copy, modify, distribute, sell or rent Pairloom, or reverse engineer it, except where the law allows;
  • interfere with Pairloom’s security or servers, or access accounts or data that aren’t yours.

Your partner

When you connect with someone, they can see your profile, your cards (including ones you made before connecting) and the whispers on them, as described in our Privacy Policy. Only connect with someone you trust. You can unlink at any time; anything your partner already saw or saved before that is outside our control.

Your license

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Pairloom on Apple devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, under these Terms and the App Store’s usage rules.

Third-party services

Pairloom relies on services from Apple and Google, such as Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In and Google Firebase, which are provided under their own terms. We’re not responsible for third-party services or websites we link to.

Intellectual property

Pairloom, including its name, logo, characters, stickers, illustrations, design and software, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms don’t give you any rights to our trademarks or artwork, other than using the stickers inside the app.

Disclaimers

Pairloom is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t promise that Pairloom will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that your content will never be lost, so keep your own copies of photos that matter to you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data or content. Our total liability for any claim related to Pairloom is limited to the amount you paid us for Pairloom in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50, whichever is greater. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you; nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law.

Ending your use

You can stop using Pairloom at any time and delete your account from Settings › Profile settings. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or use Pairloom in a way that could harm others. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as disclaimers and limitation of liability) continue to apply.

Apple terms

These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn’t responsible for Pairloom or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and isn’t responsible for any claims relating to the app (such as product liability, legal compliance or intellectual property claims). If Pairloom fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you aren’t located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and aren’t on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Where these Terms are silent, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [your country/state], without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your country of residence requires otherwise.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll post the new version here and update the date above. If you keep using Pairloom after a change, you accept the updated Terms.
